






Originally known as the as Yasuni Kichwa Ecolodge, the Napo Cultural Center is located inside the most biodiverse ecosystem in the world, the Yasuni Park, Ecuador. Renamed in January 2017, this Amazon eco-lodge boasts of 12 ample and comfortable cabins. The lodge rooms are distributed in suites, doubles, and triples with a total capacity for up to 36 guests. All cabins are fully equipped with electricity, fans, hot water, and a private bathroom, a balcony, and hammocks. It also has a bar and terrace with great views of the surroundings. A flight from Quito will take you to Coca city. You will be surprised to see the great diversity of birds that live in the Amazon: playeros terns, kingfishers, among other beautiful species that roam the natural islands and banks of the river Napo. After that, you will be taken to your comfortable room. In the afternoon, you will take a short walk to explore the Napo River and delight yourself with a beautiful sunset of the Ecuadorian Jungle, a great way to start your Amazon rainforest lodge trip!
You will get closer to the Amazon Rainforest wildlife visiting the observation tower, a platform of more than 35 meters high that provides you a 360° view of the jungle. Once there, you will see a great variety of animals such as toucans, parrots, among other birds and howler monkeys, sloths, among many other animals that inhabit the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest. A great way to end your day in the heart of the Amazon, in the afternoon you will have the chance to share with the locals.
(Optional) We get up at 4: 30 am to share one of the ancient customs of the Kichwa culture, making wayusa drink to energize the body, we will also listen to kichwa music and learn to relax with the members of the community in a peaceful and unique way; then we get back for breakfast, the rest of the day we have plenty of activities to explore the surroundings Ecuadorian jungle and get to see unique species of monkeys, birds, among others, it is also possible to include a visit to the Yasuni National park parrot clay lick.
We will navigate the Napo River on an eco-catamaran, which takes you to see tropical birds such as orioles, caciques, parrots, several species of herons, caracaras, doves, anis, terns and other species of primates. Inside of the Amazon jungle we will take a hike which will allow us to explore the wildlife of the forest with chances to see many types of monkey, possibly anacondas and others as well as unique views of the surroundings, we will then make our way back to our Amazon ecolodge where you can visit some of the houses of the local community members to learn more about their way of living.
After breakfast, we will get ready to leave our Amazon ecolodge, we will take a motorized canoe back to Coca city. Unique views of the Napo river on your canoe ride back where you can take the last pictures of the Ecuadorian Amazon forest landscapes surrounding you. We will drop you of in the airport on time for your flight back to the city of Quito.
